RECYCLING
Having used the litter for Art I recycle as much as I can. You might find the following useful:
Cans: I've started taking these to my local scrapyard. They only take aluminum which is most cans these days, but you will need to check them all with a magnet first. Our local scrapyard will give you 20p a KG and I came away with £3.50 from my first visit...BOOM!
Face Masks: Thankfully these are now being recycled by a company called 'Reworked'. They have PPE Recycling Boxes in Wilko or Morrisons stores where you can dump your single-use masks (please note they only take single-use masks, not any other kind).
Plastic Bags: The only place that recycles plastic bags near me is Morrisons. I'm sure there will be other places if you investigate. Hopefully plastic bags will soon become a thing of the past.
Plastic Bottles/General Recycling: Obviously this will go into your normal recycling bin, although how much of this is actually recycled and not sent to other countries to bury or burn is a question you'll have to ask the government...

** UPDATE - December 2025 **
Shit Britain & Screamalitterca T-Shirts have now all sold out, and I have made a £140 donation to Grassroots Suicide Prevention (see below). This was 20% from Shit Britain sales, and 40% from Screamalitterca sales (after costs).
I was originally going to donate the money from Shit Britain sales to 'Keep Britain Tidy', but I clean this filthy country enough, and I think the money is more important to help suicide prevention. Plus Keep Britain Tidy told me to stop tagging them in on my posts and stories because I was swearing!
A big thanks again to all who bought the T-Shirts, it really does mean a lot.
